About Beauden's World

A real family. A real little boy. A real story.

Beauden lives on a small lifestyle block just outside Christchurch, New Zealand. Five acres of grass, a few sheep, two dogs named Indie and Pinot, an old tractor, and more building projects than you can count.

His Dad, Ewen, is a builder. His Mum, Abi, serves with St John Ambulance. While Abi went to work helping save lives, Ewen stayed home with Beauden.

And that's where Beauden's World began.

Every morning starts with a plan. What are we building today? What tools do we need? What can we create together?

Some days it's a cubby house. Some days it's feeding animals, mowing lawns, stacking timber, or visiting the building supplies store — Beauden's favourite place in the world.

When leftover materials from home renovations started piling up, Beauden began telling his Dad exactly what should be built next. A ramp here. A playhouse there. New ideas every day.

At night, Abi would read stories to Beauden before bed. Watching them together, Ewen had an idea:

What if the stories were about Beauden?

What if books could show children that creativity isn't something you're born with — it's something you build through curiosity, imagination, hard work, and time spent together?

That idea became My Dad the Builder.

Today, Beauden's World is more than a book series. It's a family project built with love. A collection of stories, adventures, and products inspired by a real little boy growing up in New Zealand.

Our hope is simple: to inspire the next generation of little builders, big dreamers, and curious explorers.

Because one day, when Beauden is grown and sharing stories with children of his own, we hope he'll look back and see what his family built together.

Dream it. Build it. Be it.
